WE ARE FOLIAGE

The name ‘foliage’ literally means green cover, namely the plants and tress, that give shelter to the numerous organisms on the face of the earth. So ‘foliage’ also means the home for them. From this evolves our idea of design. Like in nature, it is coexistence and sustainability that holds the highest value for evolution.

Respecting fellow beings on earth, and allowing them to sustain like we do. Our passion lies in creating a difference, even in the smallest possible way to make space a better one to be. Being environment friendly and efficiently managing the energy cycle.

The fact that we are Indians, imbibe in us the respect to our culture and traditions, and keeping this a part of our design methods, to inculcate the feeling to the future generations.

And lastly, be part of a system that imparts whatever knowledge we have to the next in line, keeping the spirit of education alive.

We have grown through the the ten years of history. Right from the beginning, we’ve been involved with conceptual design development, spatial planning, interior managements, furniture design at various levels. Initially the firm started with small renovation and restoration works. This involved in study of materials, sustainable architecture methods, so as to reduce the cost implications to the minimal.

Our projects range from renovation – rehabilitation – restoration to residential buildings, mass housing, commercial buildings, institutional and hospitality designs. Our project team comprises or architects, planners, landscape experts, project planners, engineers, site engineering – implementation experts. This combination of technical expertise makes our team unique among others. Our consultants panel comprising of experts from electrical, sanitation and waste managements, communication and security adds to our strength in dealing with almost any kind of technical needs arising in the projects handled by us.

We strive to achieve perfection right from the conceptual design stage. Our office uses the most innovative of design methodologies, practices and concepts of design and technology through using modern softwares and technical persons to ensure you get the right results

Our Story

Foliage began in march 2004 with architect Arun Vidyasagar as the design team leader. Studio is located at Panampilly Nagar, Kochi. We are a team of architects, engineers and multidisciplinary professionals capable of providing you with a wide range of services from planning and conceptual development to design management and execution along with the use of cutting edge technology and planning methods for projects across India and abroad.

Till recently we were involved with design development and management, but now we are also involved with project execution management services under the leadership of Meera R Nair, which is a long term goal set to achieve the desired perfection to the projects – a complete design service consultancy from design to execution.

One more interesting thing you should know is that we are ‘green’ . All projects conceived with us are planned to be completely eco-sensitive and conforming to the earths rules of peaceful coexistence with respect to mutual life. We have recently registered with the Green Building council of India IGBC.
